PRIYA GIRI DESAI / Priya’s work in print and broadcast media includes work for outlets such as LIFE magazine as well as PBS and independent film projects including the health disparities series unnatural causes (PBS), Enlighten Up!, a theatrical release about yoga in America, and Forgotten Ellis Island (PBS), a documentary film about public health and immigration in America. She earned an Emmy nomination for her work as producer and writer on the hybrid documentary-animation children’s series Postcards from Buster, where her love of reporting on cultures and communities came together as she conceptualized and field produced several shows about the lives of children around the world. As part of the directing/producing team for Lovesick, a feature-length documentary about marriage matchmaking for HIV-positive people in India, Priya was invited to participate in IFW’s 2009 Spotlight on Docs, as well at the Toronto Documentary Forum that year. She was also invited to the Sundance Creative Producing Lab and Summit and Sundance's Edit Lab. She lives in Boston with her husband and daughters.
RAJ GOYLE / Raj is the CEO of Bodhala, a technology company in New York City. Raj recently was a business and philanthropic advisor to the family office of Shelley and Donald Rubin. A Kansas native, Raj served in the Kansas House (2006-2010) where he was the first Democrat elected in his district and the first South Asian elected in the state and in 2010 ran for the US House. He served on the 2012 Obama National Finance Committee and was an early member of NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio's campaign committee. He has served both as a Senior Fellow and a senior policy analyst at the Center for American Progress. Raj currently serves on a number of boards including on the advisory board of the Rubin Museum of Art and as the Vice Chair of the NYC Coalition Against Hunger. Raj graduated from Duke and Harvard Law.
